Movies Based on True Stories

http://static.ctia.in/images/article/entertainment/bollywood1/true_main.jpg
With each passing day, Bollywood seems to be slowly turning its attention towards real life incidents to draw inspiration for a good script.
The toast of the year seems to be nothing but cinema inspired from true incidents and real life characters with the latest film being 'Anjuna Beach', which is reportedly based on the life and death of British teen Scarlett Keeling.
Listed below are some of this year's movies which boast of the 'real' connection.

Not a Love Story

'Not a Love Story' is a tale of the gruesome killing of television executive Neeraj Grover by aspiring TV actress Maria Susairaj and her naval officer fiancée, Emile Jerome Mathew. In May 2008, Emile Jerome Mathew, brutally murdered 25 year old Neeraj Grover, while Susairaj aided her fiancée in chopping the body and getting rid of evidence by burning the pieces in a forest. The movie has Ram Gopal Verma at the helm and he soughts to present the case exactly as it happened, with Mahie Gill, Deepak Dhobriyal and Ajay Gehi cast as Susairaj, Mathew and Grover respectively .

The Dirty Picture

Vidya Balan is set to star in another movie based on a real life character, after her portrayal of Sabrina Lall in 'No One Killed Jessica' . The film, titled 'Dirty Picture' is based on the life of Southern sex siren Silk Smitha. The movie traces the journey of Silk Smitha, portrayed by Vidya Balan, from a plain village girl to one of the most popular soft porn actress in the south during the 80s and early 90s.

No One Killed Jessica

'No One Killed Jessica' is a dramatized version of India's most sensational murder case- the Jessica Lall murder case. Vidya Balan portrayed the role of Jessica's sister Sabrina Lall while rani Mukherji's character was reportedly inspired by journalist Barkha Dutt, who played a crucial role in bringing Jessica's murderers to justice. The director, Raj Kumar Gupta, showed amazing technique in his blend of hard facts and fiction.

Buddha in a Traffic Jam

The very public twists and turns that author and social activist, Arundhati Roy, seem to have influenced director Vivek Agnihotri to have a character inspired by her in his movie, 'Buddha in a Traffic Jam'. Mahie Gil, like Vidya Balan, gets another real life character to portray. Chosen to play the role of Arundhati Roy, it will be interesting to see how she brings to life, on screen, the woman who people strongly admire as well as dislike.

Ragini MMS

Ekta Kapoor's 'Ragini MMS' was based on real life incident surrounding a young girl named Deepika. However, the film is only half real with the other half being fictionalised by adding the horror element to make the film more sustainable at the box-office. Ekta's strategy worked wonders and the half-fact, half-fiction film produced good results at the box-office.

Monica

'Monica' which is a political drama is based on the life of Shivani Bhatnagar, a journalist who was found murdered in her Delhi apartment in 1999. The film stars Divya Dutta in the lead role and Ashutosh Rana cast as the powerful politician in question. Though the film bombed at the box-office, Divya Dutta was stellar in her portrayal of the dead scribe and was critically applauded for her role

Actresses and their Royal Affairs

Actresses and their Royal Affairs Its an accepted fact that women, all over the world love royal men. Whether its their class, charm or just the inherited 'royal' tag that attracts women so much is an unsolved mystery.
Actresses, whether from Bollywood or Hollywood, are like ordinary women when it comes to falling for royal men. Listed are some of the actresses from around the globe who have been romantically involved  with men from royal families.

Jacqueline Fernandes - Sheikh Hassan bin Rashid Al Khalifa

Actresses and their Royal Affairs
Jacqueline Fernandez dated the Bahraini prince for two years before parting ways with him. After carrying forth their long distance relationship for a long time, the couple called it quits over the lady's reported ambitiousness. Irrespective of rumours linking her to the not-so-royal Sajid Khan, it is sad that Jacqueline couldn't be tagged a princess, at least in this lifetime.

Grace Kelly - Rainier III

Actresses and their Royal Affairs
The woman who has captured the imagination of millions worldwide, lived a fairytale story before it was cut short by a tragic accident. Celebrated American actress and fashion icon Grace Kelly became Princess Grace after her marriage to Ranier III, Prince of Monaco. Despite giving up her acting career post marriage, she played the role of a princess to perfection.

Kareena Kapoor-Saif Ali Khan

Actresses and their Royal Affairs

Sharmila Tagore - Mansoor Ali Pataudi

Actresses and their Royal Affairs
After talking about Saif and Kareena, how can we leave behind the parents who made the heir. Sharmila Tagore's marriage to Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was also like a fairytale. While she was a successful Bollywood actress, he was the dashing captain of the Indian cricket team. Their union was magical and many looked up to them in awe throughout years of their marriage.

Florence Brudenell - Prince Harry

The woman who seems to have scored over 'Her Royal Highness' Pippa Middleton with regard to, the exceedingly cute, Prince Harry. Florence is the girl that we saw in 'Love Aaj Kal' opposite Saif Ali Khan. She has been in the news, of late, for being Prince Harry's current love interest. Irrespective of whether this romance stands the test of time or fizzles out is insignificant in comparison to their liaison

Bollywood Stars Without Make-Up

http://l3.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/XyDbHKPbvW57WJeVevjDdA--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NTt3PTMxMA--/http://media.zenfs.com/en_IN/News/Menxp/e084334945c5d8bfa3b53c1a138525e1
Bollywood actresses are known for their beauty and style. They are glorified on screens as demi-goddesses who are blessed with ethereal beauty.
But its now time for some reality check as the actresses don't really look like the perfect dreamgirls once they are stripped off their make-up. Lets take a look at how different actresses look without their usual dose of make-up.
Sonam
Bollywood's number one fashionista isn't very attractive to look at once her make-up comes off. In this pic, Sonam far from the glam diva that she always is.
alt
Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif doesn't look much different without make-up. She is one naturally blessed woman in terms of beauty and, hence, can easily survive without make-up. She looks beautiful in her most basic and natural avatar.
alt
Rani Mukherjee
Yes! The person you see in the pic is indeed Rani Mukherjee. And, she sure does look horrendous without her make-up on. Our advise to her would be not to step out of the house without any make-up or she might end up losing the few films that she's got in hand.
alt
Deepika Padukone
Sans make-up, Deepika looks like any other face in the crowd. It is after a good dose of grooming that Deepika manages to look like the stunner that she always appears to be.
alt
Kareena Kapoor
Kareena Kapoor also looks amazingly beautiful even without any trace of make-up. Guess its owing to her genes and a healthy lifestyle that always ensures that she looks radiant and glowing.
alt
Priyanka Chopra
The glamorous Piggy Chops looks like as bad without make-up as as she looks good with it. She seems like a totally different person from the gorgeous star that we all know
alt
Kajol
Kajol has always shocked us with her sense of style in the past and she does the same by coming forth without proper grooming. No matter what the occasion is, there can be no excuse for turning up looking like this in public.
alt
Rakhi Sawant
Not that we consider Rakhi a Bollywood star, but the difference in her look with and without make-up is so startling that we couldn't resist including her in the list. On the transformation in her appearance, we have only one thing to say: Miracles do happen!

Ideal Husbands of Bollywood

An ideal husband is what every woman wants. Nobody is perfect which applies even to the Bollywood stars.
Though they are imperfect, these married actors do everything they can to keep their families satisfied.  Star wives and kids can only find happiness if the man of the family dotes on them and showers all his attention on them despite having a busy calendar. In case, you too wish to be an ideal husband, take cues from these Bollywood  stars.
Shahrukh Khan

alt
One of the country’s biggest star, Shahrukh Khan  has quite a reputation for being the perfect husband. Having a normal family life is a difficult thing once you are a part of the film industry, and doubly so when you are SRK, the ‘Baadshah of Bollywood’. Despite being such a major star Shah Rukh’s priority has always been Gauri and his two kids. He is rarely linked to other actresses even after most of them claim to have a soft spot for him. The bond that Shah Rukh shares with his wife and kids is exemplary which, men should learn apart from just praising his acting skills.

Akshay Kumar

alt
Before he got married to actress Twinkle Khanna, Akshay had link-ups with leading actresses like Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty.  Marriage brought about a great deal of positive change in him and his reputation of being a Casanova. Inspite of his rumored link-ups with current actresses like Priyanka Chopra  and Katrina Kaif, their marriage remains rock-solid and this, is owing to the trust which Twinkle seems to have in Akki.

Arjun Rampal

alt
Arjun Rampal is another actor known for his family oriented ways. Arjun and Mehr have always been a couple, very much in love and we often get a glimpse of it in public events. Arjun also shows his family side as he dotes on his two daughters Myra and Mahikaa, and takes good care of them even when his wife isn’t around.

Anil Kapoor

alt
Anil Kapoor  can boast of having the most trouble-free relationship in this industry. Rarely caught in controversy, Anil has managed to keep a clean slate over his long career in Bollywood. It is not very often that an actor manages to keep himself away from link-ups while working with glamorous actresses and Anil Kapoor must be lauded for it.

Hrithik Roshan

alt
Hrithik  is the perfect husband and father, having given them everything they needed at any point of time and trying to spend as much time possible with Susanne and his two little sons. Though his relationship with Latin actress Barbara Mori  was said to be more than friendship, Susanne always chose to be on her husband’s side and their love proved to be stronger than any rumour. He is responsible enough to take good care of his family and maintain a balance between his family and his career.

Sanjay Dutt

alt
Sanjay Dutt defied all odds when he got married to a so-called B grade actress, Manyaata. Despite his family and friends opposing the marriage, he went ahead with his marriage. While Mr and Mrs. Dutt were considered a weird couple,  they made sure their love remained strong and, today, they are proud parents of twins with Dutt’s family finally by their side. Dutt is reportedly so concerned about his family that he rushes home at the slightest pretext and ensures to spend all his free time with his wife and kids. After the death of his first wife and a failed second marriage, Sanju seems to have found his eternal life partner

Kids of Bollywood Stars

Kids of Bollywood Stars

Much bigger stars than our Bollywood celebs are their kids who are the top priorities Those that are followed by millions, follow their little tots at home.
Here are those kids who are the centre of the universe for their B-Town parents.

Aryan and Suhana Khan

SRK's two kids are as enthusiastic and passionate as their father. While Aryan is known as a tech buff, Suhana is reported to be quite a diva already. They are both mastering the art of Taekwondo with both parents taking active interest in all their other activities too. Shah Rukh does not let his superstar status fall ahead of his kids and he he is always seen trying his level best to be the perfect father.

Aarav Bhatia

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna's only son is pampered by his family a lot. Apparently Aarav wants to become a drummer and have his own rock band when he grows up. Junior Akki has even won the Green Globe Award for Outstanding Contribution by a Child. He was apparently the youngest person to have sponsored a village under the "Light a Billion Lives" campaign.

Nysa Devgan

Little Miss Devgn, all of 8, apparently, is not very fond of cameras as her parents are as she was seen in a grumpy mood recently, when photographers were snapping her pictures. According to mommy Kajol, Nysa is an even better actress than her. That, coming from such a heavyweight of acting, is a sure sign that this daughter will step into her mother's shoes very well.

Arhaan Khan

Arhaan is the son of Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora and is 8 years old. He is the apple of everyone's eye in the Khan household which includes uncle Salman Khan. According to mom Malaika, "Arhaan is the best thing that happened to me" and it was Arhaan who helped saved her marriage to Arbaaz which proves that he is the ultimate priority for both parents.

Sara and Ibrahim Ali Khan

The two are the kids of Saif Ali Khan and ex-wife, Amrita Singh. Saif and Amrita, who split in 2004, however, make sure that their separation does not make a difference in their kids' life. Sara and Ibrahim stay with Amrita and her family but spend ample time with daddy, Saif.

Myra and Mahikaa Rampal

Myra and Mahikaa, aged 6 and 9, are the beloved daughters of Arjun and Mehr Rampal. The two girls lead very normal lives thanks to their parents, who do not want to join the bandwagon of other parents who want their kids to excel in everything. Myra and Mahikaa even turned budding musicians after seeing their father's fantastic performance on the movie 'Rock On'.

Samaira Kapur

Samaira Kapur is the daughter of one time No.1 actress Karisma Kapur and Sanjay Kapur. After her birth, her parents' marriage turned bitter and led to a nasty court battle for divorce and custody of Samaira who was a newborn then. However, the issue is settled now and the family leads a happy life after the arrival of Kiaan Raj Kapur, Karisma and Sanjay's son.

Renee Sen

Sushmita Sen brought Renee home in the year 2000 and her little sibling, Alisah in 2010. Having one of the coolest moms, is probably the best thing Renee could have ever asked for. Sushmita Sen dotes on her daughters and everything takes a backseat for her when her daughters need her.
Renee is an extremely intelligent girl and has traits similar to her mom as stated by Sush's mother.

Hrehaan and Hridhaan Roshan

When not playing intense roles on screen, Hrithik is busy with his two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan. The sons have inherited their parents' good looks and extreme good manners as well. The two tiny Roshans are the centre of the world for Susanne and Hrithik and also capture the fancy of their parents' admirers.
